Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba was Best man for Saleh’s Son, Alexander Akandwanaho
Alexander Akandwanaho and Manuela Akandwanaho were married in a lavish ceremony on Wednesday at the luxurious Serena Hotel, Kigo.
Alexander is the son of Dictator Museveni’s younger brother, Gen Caleb Akandwanaho alias Criminal Salim Saleh. Several A-listers including MTN Uganda chairman, Charles Mbire, prominent city lawyer Edwin Karugire, former Nyabushozi MP Col Fred Mwesigye, and ex External security chief, David Pulkol graced the ceremony.
The Commander of Land Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba was Alexander’s bestman.
Addressing the guests, Muhoozi the couple’s marriage has enabled close family members including Gen Saleh to meet at a social function which was a very rare occurrence.
He said the last time family members held a social celebration was 12 years ago during the marriage of Saleh’s daughter, Esteri.
“It’s always work, work,” said Muhoozi in reference to the top family members’ busy schedule.
While Muhoozi oversees the land forces’ operations, Saleh is the chief coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation.

The newly weds were blessed with a baby girl in October 2019.
The bride, Manuela, is a daughter of businessman, Taratibu.
The brief ceremony was attended by very close friends and relatives of both families to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
Dictator Museveni missed the function as he was addressing the nation on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Alexander’s uncles, Godfrey Aine Sodo, Michael Toyota, and Shadrack Nzeire as well as the bridegroom’s aunt, Violet Kajubiri, were in attendance.
Gen Saleh left guests in stitches when he said the love of the lovebirds is as strong as the one he had with Jovia 30 years ago.
“When somebody is in love, you can’t stop him,” said Saleh, adding he shared a special bond with his son considering he was born shortly after he had been sacked as army commander. Of course, it was to hoodwink sleepy Ugandans.

At the time, Saleh was 30 years old. He, however, said he was able to get out of his messy situation to champion a food security programme which he said remains a big success story. Though the reality is different, as he has caused food insecurity in Uganda, by hoarding food to sell them later at a very high price.
Saleh also thanked Taratibu for properly raising his daughter and welcomed them to their family.
Alexander, a private businessman, committed to uphold the vows he exchanged with Manuela and hailed friends and family for supporting the couple’s young family.
One can say, it was a function of a criminal family laughing at Ugandans.
